The exhibition “Athens. From Page to City” is moving to the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens

The Municipality of Athens announces the relocation of the successful archival exhibition
“Athens. From Page to City” to a new venue.
Following the completion of its presentation at the new Municipal building on Patission 169,
the exhibition will now be hosted at the Cultural Center of the Municipality of Athens
from 12 November to 31 December 2025.

The exhibition opening will take place on Wednesday, 12 November, at 13:00.
The exhibition invites visitors on a unique journey through the memory and history of the city,
showcasing rare archival material that highlights the function and evolution of the Municipality of Athens over time.
In its new location, the exhibition is enriched with an additional section dedicated to the history of the Cultural Center itself.
Visitors will have the opportunity to discover archival testimonies and documents illuminating the story of the emblematic building at 50 Akadimias Street—from its early years as the Municipal Hospital “Elpis” to its present role as a hub of culture and creativity.
Special emphasis will also be placed on educational visits, as the exhibition will be open to schools,
offering guided tours by appointment through the Municipal and Historical Archive Department,
contact person: Ms. Efthymia Douka, telephone 210 5277752.
The exhibition “Athens. From Page to City” is held with the support of the Organization of Culture, Sports and Youth of the Municipality of Athens (OPANDA)
and the generous sponsorship of the Motor Oil Group.
