The Historical and Municipal Archives [of the City of Athens], in collaboration with the Hellenic Association for the Promotion of Rhetoric in Education, is participating in the “Adolescence Month 2025” initiative organized by Patakis Publishers.
Learning to be a democratic citizen is an experiential process. But what does it truly mean to be “democratic”? What are the primary threats to democracy today? How can I prepare myself for informed decision-making?
By utilizing rhetoric, drama-in-education, and primary source material from the Historical Archives of the City of Athens, we focus on the significance of media literacy and the development of essential skills such as communication, problem-solving, and collaboration. These constitute the fundamental pillars of educating active and responsible citizens.
Events are free of charge and are held either online or in-person at the Patakis Bookstore.
