On Thursday, December 4th, 2025, we had the distinct pleasure of welcoming the members of the Association of Friends of the Museum of the City of Athens for a guided tour of the exhibition “Athens: From Page to City.”
During the tour, participants had the opportunity to engage with rare archival holdings −including manuscripts, historical maps, photographs, and audiovisual records− which illuminate various aspects of the city’s evolution, from its designation as the capital to its contemporary urban development. The presence and active interest of the Association’s members fostered a productive dialogue on the importance of preserving and promoting archival primary sources that document the city’s collective memory.
